Robs class at the festival

Robbie was up next and I dont know what I was thinking, but I didnt realize I could video tape the dance as well. So the next one is a clip of Rob's dance. He was awesome, he really was working the dance...

Dance Festival

Every year in May the Elementary School here in Tooele does a dance festival and each grade learns a new dance and puts on a performance for all of the parents, grandparents, etc. to watch. This was Ryan's first year and he did the Chicken Dance. He was soooo cute.

My cousin Amy sent this to me and uhhh who doesn't want chocolate cake in 5 minutes, seriously...

THE 5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR ONE PERSON (or two)....... 5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE4 tablespoons flour 4 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa 1 egg 3 tablespoons milk 3 tablespoons oil 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) A small splash of vanilla extract 1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Flat Robbie

Robbie came home from school awhile back and said he needed a family member or friends address to take to school. He said they would be writing a "friendly letter" and mailing it to this person. We talked about all of the awesome friends and family that we have and Rob finally decided on Aunt Carol. (Dan's sister) I wondered what he wrote to her, but life is going on and I forgot to ask him. The other day, Aunt Carol posted these awesome pictures on Facebook. When Robbie sent the letter he included a Flat Robbie, which Aunt Carol has taken with her to school and on the ferry. Completely Awesome. Check out the scarey ferry guy with Flat Robbie. Thanks Aunt Carol for posting these great pics.

Dale the Fish is Dead

Oh my the time has finally come and little Dale was not floating but hanging out between two rocks at the bottom of the bowl. Dan said I think the fish is dead and I said no way. So, I bumped the bowl and sure enough up he came floating to the top. Well, then came the decision making how do we handle this? Dan said I'll throw the whole bowl away and then we will be done with it all. I thought oh no we shouldn't do that because what if we want to get another one. So, my plan was to have Dan fish out the fish and Dan would not fish out the fish and I certainly would not do that. YUCK!! So the bowl sat for 2 days while we decided what to do him. The final decision came right before I had some friends over on Saturday. Dan wasn't home and I had not changed my mind about fishing so out went the entire bowl into the trash can. No long service for him, I thought briefly as I dropped him into the can "Sorry Dale." We have had the no more hamster experience and now no more fish!!!

37?? Can it be true??

Well, it's today. Today is the day that I turned 37. It's hard to imagine, at least for me. I don't think I should be 37 that seems far too close to 40 for my liking. Anyway, it has been a great day. Dan woke up long before me and he and the kids cleaned the family room and decorated for me. They made a great birthday poster and hung streamers. I had the best birthday breakfast omelet ever. It was a fabulous tomato, avocado, & cheese omelet. He made cheesy shredded potatoes and english muffins with that. Delicious!!! We ate and then went to the zoo. It was a great day at the zoo, a little chilly (not bad), very few people and lots of active animals. We are home now and there will be a very yummy dinner coming my way as well - or so I have been told. I'm working on getting the pics on here, but I seem to be having some trouble uploading the pics...

LEGO in the Ear???

Oh man! Ryan and I were just playing a rousing game of Lego Batman on the xbox and he kept digging at his ear. He says mom I think I have something in my ear. So, I take a look and there in my kids ear is a tiny round lego. I nearly peed my pants. I grabbed the tweezers and surgery started. Dan held his ear back, because he really has some ears... and I grabbed the lego. All in all it took just a few minutes to get it out but, oh my goodness my first thought was ER here we come. Well, now that moments over I think I will go to bed.

Darn Adam & Eve

So I was just thinking after doing about 10 loads of laundry today that if Eve hadn't taken that first bite I wouldn't have to do so much laundry. I mean there would still be towels, blankets things like that, but think of all the time and energy that could go towards something else if we didn't have clothes. Oh and the money that could be used for other things. What a thought...

Ok so my hubby just reminded me how frightening the visual could be if everyone was running buck. I guess I will go back upstairs and work on load # 11.

Thank heavens for his vision or I may have attempted a new trend...

Priceless Gift from Becca

Rebecca gave me most of this nativity for Christmas last year or the year before. It took her the entire year to make this for me. She worked so hard on it and made all of the clothes by herself. So, I asked for the animals for Christmas this year. So, she made the animals and I think my favorite are the cows. She decided she doesn't like brown cows, so I have little spotted cows. How precious. All of the camels saddles match the wisemen's robes. She did an amazing job and this is truly a priceless gift. Thank you Becca.

The Larsons

This is my brother Dale's family. Dallas, Lisa - his wife, Mallory, Cherlynn & her husband, Scott and of course the dog friends, Abbey & Ernie.

Roxy's Snow Moment

I let Roxy out to go potty and she refused to come inside, so I let her stay outside for a few more minutes. When she came in she was covered with these little snowballs.

When Rob and Ry first started playing with the new double shot nerf guns they kept talking about their aimage and were not sure about how good the aimage was. We soon learned that Robs aimage is just fine. Ry although hamming it up for the camera continued to dig, who know his multitasking skills were so impressive.

Like Mother Like Son???

PEACEFUL

I can't begin to express the JOY that I have over the calm quiet state of our home. It is so peaceful here. I haven't heard one outburst or negative comment from anyone today or last night. These are the moments I really enjoy and burn into my heart, so when the normalcy of life returns I can reflect on these moments.

Ryan absolutely loves his Dino egg!! He has been digging and brushing away the sand for a good long time - what a great gift. He loves it.

A special thanks to Em & Aaron for the small nerf artillery sets my boys received. They are busy making target practice of my snowman collection. Just kidding, but they are enjoying them.

The Great Rob Roo...

So Ryan gave Robbie a small magician set and apparently this is what a magician should look like. I laughed so hard when he put these on. Too Funny!!
